New Year, New Experiences, New Beginnings

It's almost the end of the 1st month of 2008, so I am a little behind with the New Year's Resolutions, but I'm moving in that direction.

So much has changed in the last year for me, but yet a lot has stayed the same. Some of the things that have stayed the same are some of the unhealthy or non-growing items in my life - like not exercising like I should or eating too much ice cream and not enough brocolli. I'm going to work on those things and make some more good changes. One area that I am behind in the times is all of the technology gadgets and communications devices, for example this Blog! I feel like I'm stuck in the last decade and need to update my image :o) So, I'm creating a Blog as one of my 1st attempts in the new experiences of life.

In the last year I went from a full-time career woman, wife and mother of 1 boy to a full-time mom (which I now know is more than a career because your day never ends), wife and mother of 2 ENERGETIC boys who I love more than I thought my heart was capable of. When I was thinking of starting this blog I knew I had to come up with a name and Divine Interventions popped into my mind because of all the things that God has shown me in this past year and continues to show me on a daily basis when I trust Him with all my heart. When I look at my 2 little boys I am amazed at what precious gifts that I have been given and how glad I am that I followed the direction that God wanted me to by leaving my job last year to stay at home and raise them.

Our household also came into the new century in another way today. We purchased our 1st high definition TV. Our TV has been on the blink since the middle of December and each day it has become more and more aggravating to the point that I haven't watched much TV at all this week (which is a good thing - another divine intervention, perhaps, to spend more time playing cars and playdoh with Garrett?) Anyways, I did all my research on Consumer Reports and searched many sites trying to learn all there is to know about the new types of TVs. After talking with my husband, I think we finally agreed on a particular TV and I have been watching the prices to try and get the best deal possible. I have been actually holding out for the Super Bowl sales and today, when I went to Fry's to purchase an external hard drive to back-up and save all my pictures, I thought I would just check out the price of that TV. Well, it was on sale for the lowest price I had found at a store, plus it had a bonus of a $100 rebate because of the Super Bowl game!!! Yeah. I immediately called my husband to see if he was in agreement that we should go ahead and purchase it and he agreed! So, he is in our living room right now setting it up.

I anxiously await this New Year and all of the great changes it has in store!
